Dr. Ray Bayley, DC, DCBCN, takes sincerely that "doctor" means "teacher". If you are willing, if you like, he can help you understand what's going on with your health and healing, maintenance and treatment, your options and likely future, and he can teach you things to do yourself.
from the "CONTACT US" section/webpage: SESSION NOTES AND ASSISTANCE
Doc Ray highly encourages you to bring an audio recording device to your sessions with him so the information he gives you won't be missed or misconstrued. People rarely take accurate, complete notes, not even tenured professors he has seen. So make an audio recording to make sure. E.g. most people have audio recording as a function on their smart phone. Some people videotape exercises and other home do-it-yourself procedures he teaches them.
Some people bring someone with them to the office visit, e.g. to help them remember and to help them explain things to Doc Ray, to help them understand what Doc Ray says, to help them take notes and make recordings... or just for companionship.
BACKGROUND IN TEACHING AND NOW...
Doc Ray has been teaching, since his teen years, e.g. as an adult...
11 years teaching chiropractic physicians-to-be in the doctorate program (biochemistry, lab analysis, basic and clinical nutrition, and guest lectured in clinical biomechanics) and taught them after-hours practicuums in other bodywork, sports injuries, homeopathy and other natural therapeutics.
Then 20 years post-doctorate teaching, to physicians around the USA, weekends in the board-certifying sequence of clinical nutrition and weekends on clinical nutrition in the physiotherapy certification and neurology board-certifying sequences.
See below for some of the classes, workshops, etc he has been teaching to the public/lay people, some for many decades.
Doc Ray loves teaching, being a conduit for knowledge, and helping others expand and have new understandings and abilities!!!
Now he wants to concentrate more on the lay person level, helping people to better health and healing.
PROFESSIONAL FACEBOOK PAGE...
is "Dr. Ray Bayley, DC, D.C.B.C.N. at Edgebrook":
That and handouts/email attachments he gives patients are where Doc Ray puts health and healing info that he often tells patients and important info that he doesn't find often elsewhere (e.g. not commonly touted in TV programs or news articles he's seen). E.g. on that FB page is how to test that you are adequately hydrated and the usual amount of water it takes to do so. E.g. on that FB page is how to test for nutrients that will help slow, even reverse, your osteopenia and osteoporosis.
Nowadays, hard copy and online media have gotten so awesomely informative (and, sadly, sometimes misinformative), and he encourages you to take advantage of such (and be leery of misinformation). Doc Ray can tell you of websites that tend to be accurately informative.
He also puts on that FB page notices about resources that might help people. E.g. there are periodic summits where a dozen or more experts give webinars for lay and professional (e.g. diabetes, oral health), usually viewable for free the days they are scheduled and for a fee one might view them later, download them as keepable files, and/or get transcripts of them.
Now that this DocBayley.com website is finally published, he'll go back to adding to that FB page now and then.
NUTRITIONAL INFLUENCES ON DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, AND SOME SELECT OTHER NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS
This is a 1-3 hour presentation to a group, depending on depth the audience might want and on audience questions. Professional and otherwise well-informed audiences may want a longer presentation (approaching the 12-16 hour weekends he did postdoc to physicians). Doc Ray gives you a handout on things to consider, lab and other tests you might do, and resources on what to do. Even if he retires, he wants to continue doing this presentation because it's a lifetime accumulation of work that started with his chemistry and psychology degrees.
Read some about the work he'll present in the "NEUROPSYCH" section on the "SERVICES" webpage.
You can have him speak to your group for $10 a person per hour, a minimum of 5 people. How many hours it will be, and thus the cost, is set up before the meeting, though you might want to allow more time and cost if the audience is asking questions. You set up the meeting place (which could be his office waiting room some evenings and weekends), collect the money, etc, and "if you build it, he will come", in the Chicagoland area. If you want this in another geographical location, contact him for price negotiation. If you can't "build it" yourself, email him and he'll put you on a list to contact when such a group forms. Email him at email@example.com and make sure you put "Doc Ray" in the subject line (to distinguish your email from the dozens he gets daily from sellers and discussion groups).
DUAL-CHANNEL FREQUENCY-SPECIFIC MICROCURRENT EXPLANATION AND DEMONSTRATION
Read more about this modality in that named section on the "SERVICES" webpage.
Doc Ray expects DCFSM in the future will be very common in clinics, hospitals, and, hopefully, even people's homes, and will majorly decrease the need for risky drugs. He wants to make that future happen ASAP.
This talk can comfortably fit into an evening or afternoon. Depending on distance traveled and who and how many attend, he sometimes gives it for free, because this is such a valuable and not yet well known modality. Email him if you want to put this together for a group of people. Email him at firstname.lastname@example.org and make sure you put "Doc Ray" in the subject line (to distinguish your email from the dozens he gets daily from discussion groups and sales people).
ORTHOPAEDIC/BODYWORK SELF-CARE WORKSHOP
Like so much of what Doc Ray teaches to patients and in talks and workshops, the goal is to get you so healthy and self-reliant that you don't need to be paying for treatment much. Here it's about better health for joints, muscles, and fascia, using safe bodywork techniques (e.g. some massage and muscle re-education) and exercises.
He's done this from a couple hours' worth, to a whole weekend's worth. Price therefore varies. This particular presentation has been the most popular for him to do for charity organization fund drives and such. Price is variable, depending on distance traveled, facilities, how many people, length of presentation, etc. Email him if you want to put this together for a group of people. Email him at email@example.com and make sure you put "Doc Ray" in the subject line (to distinguish your email from the dozens he gets daily from discussion groups and sales people).
Doc Ray has done other presentation to lay groups. You can get a feeling for the kinds of things he likes to talk about from the other webpages on this website. Email him if you have a proposal for him to teach to a group you want to put together. Email him at firstname.lastname@example.org and make sure you put "Doc Ray" in the subject line (to distinguish your email from the dozens he gets daily from discussion groups and sale people).
